Moyo and NOC Secretary General Miss Hazel Kennedy in their positions for the 2009-2012 quadrennium. 17 December 2009 Surinam Re-election of the NOC President and Secretary General The Elective General Assembly of the Suriname Olympic Committee held on 17 December 2009 re-elected NOC President Mr Gerhard van Dijk and NOC Secretary General, Mr Guno van der Jagt. 11 November 2009 Guatemala Election of a new President and a new Secretary General of the NOC The elective General Assembly of the Olympic Committee of Guatemala held on November 11th, 2009 elected General Sergio Arnoldo Camargo Muralles and Mr Salomon David Rowe Stewart respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2013 period. 22 October 2009 Austria New NOC President elected The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Austrian Olympic Committee held on 22nd October 2009 elected a new President of the NOC, Dr. Karl Stoss, Chief Executive Officer of Casinos Austria and the Austrian Lotteries. Elections of the new NOC Board will take place in early December 2009. 16 October 2009 Vanuatu New NOC President elected On 16 October 2009, the Vanuatu Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee elected Mr Antoine Boudier as President of the NOC. Mr Seru Victor Korikalo continues as Secretary General. 12 September 2009 Cambodia Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC H.E. Dr. Thong Khon and Mr Vath Chamroeun were re-elected respectively President and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia. 07 August 2009 Chad Re-election of the NOC Président and Secretary General The Elective General Assembly of the Olympic and Sports Committee of Chad held on 7 August 2009 re-elected NOC President Mr Moussa Aggrey and NOC Secretary General, General Idriss Dokony Adiker for the quadrennium 2009-2012. 30 July 2009 Sri Lanka NOC President re-elected; election of a new Secretary General The Annual General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka held on 30 July 2009 re-elected Mr Hemasiri Fernando as President of the NOC and elected Mr Maxwell de Silva as Secretary General, both for a four-year period. 27 July 2009 Egypt New NOC President and Secretary General elected The Elective General Assembly of the Egyptian Olympic Committee held on 27 July 2009 elected a new President of the NOC, General Mahmoud Ahmed Ali, as well as a new Secretary General, Mr Al Moataz Biallah Yousaif Sonbol. 7 July 2009 Jordan Appointment of the Secretary General of the NOC Ms Lana Al-Jaghbeer has been appointed Secretary General of the NOC. 6-7 July 2009 ANOCA President re-elected and a new Secretary General elected The ANOCA Elective General Assembly held in Abuja, Nigeria on 6-7 July 2009 re-elected Intendent-General Lassana Palenfo (Côte d'Ivoire) for a new four-year mandate (2009-2012) as President of ANOCA, and elected Counselor Khaled Zein El-Din (Egypt) as the new Secretary General. The Treasurer General is Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel (Nigeria). During the sessions of this 13th General Assembly, IOC President Dr. Jacques Rogge pointed out that the African Sports Movement has become a strategic partner of the International Olympic Committee and other bodies of the Olympic Movement. President Palenfo underlined in ANOCA's news bulletin of July 2009 that "sportmen and sportswomen and our partners are commiting us to work harder for the development of the African Olympic and Sports movement. We should stand together to make the 2009-2012 Olympiad an utterly successful organisation of the All Africa Games and a more glowing participation of African athletes in the Summer Olympic Games in London. Furthermore, ANOCA shall during this Olympiad celebrate its 30th anniversary, launch the African Youth Games and pursue the implementation of the resolutions of the Tunis Forum on Sport and Olympism. Neville McCook, OJ., CD., JP. respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2012 period. 27 June 2009 Togo Election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The Ordinary and elective General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Togo held on June 27th, 2009 elected General Poutoyi Maakou Nabede and Mr Etienne Kouami Degboe respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2012 period. 19 June 2009 Angola Re-election of the President and of the Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Angola held on 19th June, 2009 re-elected Mr Gustavo Dias Vaz da Conceição and Mr Mário Rosa Rodrigues de Almeida respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2012 period. 12 June 2009 Tunisia Election of the President of the NOC The elective General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Tunisia held on June 12th, 2009 elected Mr Slim Chiboub President of the NOC. 11 June 2009 Aruba Election of the President and re-election of the Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Aruban Olympic Committee held on 11th June, 2009 elected Mr Roy Mezas and re-elected Ms Nicole Hoevertsz respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2013 period. 06 June 2009 Bahrain New NOC President and Secretary General elected The General Assembly of the Bahrain Olympic Committee held on 6 June 2009 elected a new President of the NOC, H.H. Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well as a new Secretary General, H.E. Mr Craig Phillips continues his office as Secretary General. 08 May 2009 Uzbekistan Election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The XIV General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan held on May 8th, 2009 elected Mr Malik Babaev and Mr Mukhamadali Karimov respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. 06 May 2009 Italy Re-election of the President and confirmation of the Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) held on May 6th, 2009 re-elected Mr Giovanni Petrucci for a fourth mandate as President of the NOC and confirmed Mr Raffaele Pagnozzi in the office of Secretary General. 05 May 2009 Dominica Election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The annual General Assembly of the Dominica Olympic Committee held on May 5th, 2009 elected Mr John A. Charles and Mr Thomas Dorsett respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2013 period. 02 May 2009 Denmark Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark held on May 2nd, 2009 re-elected Mr Niels Nygaard and Mr Karl Christian Koch respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. 29 April 2009 Spain Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Spanish Olympic Committee held on April 29th, 2009 re-elected Mr Alejandro Blanco and Mr Victor Sánchez Naranjo respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the period 2009-2012. 25 April 2009 Nicaragua Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Nicaragua Olympic Committee held on April 25th, 2009 re-elected Colonel Emmet Lang Salmerón and Mr Frank Silva Urbina respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the 2009-2013 period. 24 April 2009 United Arab Emirates Election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee held on April 24th, 2009 elected H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.E. Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussain respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the period 2009-2012. 16 April 2009 Netherlands Antilles Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Netherlands Antilles Olympic Committee held on April 16th, 2009 re-elected Mr William Walter Millerson and Mr Imro Herman van Wilgen respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. 14 April 2009 Mauritius Re-election of the President and election of the Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Mauritius Olympic Committee held on April 14th, 2009 re-elected Mr Hao Thyn Voon Philippe Ha Shun, C.S.K. President of the NOC and elected Vivian Gungaram as Secretary General. 4 April 2009 Poland Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Polish Olympic Committee held on April 4th, 2009 re-elected Mr Piotr Nurowski and Mr Adam Krzesiński respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. 1st April 2009 ONOC New ONOC Executive Committee elected The General Assembly of the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC), held on March 31st and April 1st 2009 in Queenstown, New Zealand, elected Dr. Robin Mitchell (Fiji) and Mr Ricardo Blas (Guam) as President and Secretary General of ONOC respectively. Mr Barry Maister (New Zealand) was elected Vice-President; the other members of the ONOC Executive Committee are Mr Joe Carlo (Vanuatu), Mr Ken Tupua (American Samoa), Mr Jim Tobin (Federated States of Micronesia) and Mrs. Baklai Temengil (Palau). March 2009 IOA Newly-elected President of the International Olympic Academy Mr Isidoros Kouvelos, former President of the National Equestrian Federation, was elected President of the International Olympic Academy, succeding Mr Minos Kyriakou. March 2009 Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Re-election of the President of the NOC Mr Vasil Tupurkovski has been re-elected President of the Olympic Committee of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. March 2009 Portugal Re-election of the President and new Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Olympic Committee of Portugal held in March 2009 re-elected Mr José Vincente Moura President of the NOC, Mr Manuel Marques Da Silva is the new Secretary General. March 2009 Serbia Appointment of a new Secretary General of the NOC Following the election of the new President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia Mr Vlade Divac on February 24, 2009, Mr Djordje Visacki has been appointed Secretary General of the NOC. 31 March 2009 Cameroon Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee held on March 31st, 2009 re-elected Colonel Hamad Kalkaba Malboum and Mr Emmanuel Claude Abolo Biwole respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. 28-29 March 2009 Ethiopia Election of the NOC President and Secretary General The General Assembly of the Ethiopian Olympic Committee held on March 28-29, 2009 elected Birhan Kidanemariam and Ms Dagmawit Girmay respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the period 2009-2012. 28 March 2009 Canada New NOC President Elect Mr Marcel Aubut has been appointed President Elect of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), his predecessor Mr Michael Chambers remaining in office until the COC General Assembly 2010. 27 March 2009 Turkey Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey re-elected Mr Togay Bayatli and Ms Nese Gündogan respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for four years. 23 March 2009 San Marino Re-election of the President and appointment of a new Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of San Marino held on March 23rd, 2009 re-elected Mr Angelo Vicini for a fourth mandate as President of the NOC, for the period 2009-2012, Mr Eros Bologna was appointed Secretary General of the NOC. 20 March 2009 Moldova NOC President re-elected and new NOC Secretary General elected The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Moldova, held on March 20, 2009 re-elected. Mr Nicolae Juravschi and elected Ms Christine Vasilianov respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC for the period 2009-2012. 19 March 2009 Saint Lucia Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee held on March 19, 2009 re-elected Mr Richard Peterkin and Mr Alfred Emmanuel respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. Richard Peterkin is otherwise the current Treasurer of PASO as well as of ANOC. 14 March 2009 Luxemburg Re-election of the President and new appointement of the Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Luxemburg Olympic and Sports Committee held on March 14, 2009, re-elected Mr Marc Theisen and newly appointed Mrs. Marlyse Pauly as President and Secretary General of the NOC respectively. 11 March 2009 Peru NOC President elected and NOC Secretary General re-elected The Elective Assembly of the Olympic Committee of Peru held on March 11, 2009 elected José Quiñones Gonzáles President of the NOC and re-elected Alfredo Deza Fuller as Secretary General, for the period 2009-2012. 1st March 2009 Djibouti Reelection of the President and Secretary General of the NOC On the occasion of the General Assembly of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Djibouti held on March 1st, 2009, Ms Aicha Ali Garad and Said Ali Houssein were re elected respectively President and Secretary General of the NOC. 28 February 2009 Austria Re-election of the President of the NOC and appointment of an interim Secretary General Following Heinz Jungwirth's resignation from the post of Secretary General of the Austrian Olympic Committee, the NOC executive body appointed Matthias Bogner to carry out the corresponding functions by interim as from March 1st, 2009. Leo Wallner was re-elected as President. 24 February 2009 Serbia Election of a new President of the NOC The General Assembly of the Olympic Committee of Serbia held on 24 February 2009, attended by 82 out of the 83 members of the Assembly, elected Vlade Divac, a renowned Basketball player, as President of the NOC. Former President Ivan Ćurcović had withdrawn his candidacy. 19 February 2009 Korea New President of the NOC An IOC Member from 2002 to 2007 and the President of the International Judo Federation from 1995 to 2007, Yong-Sung Park has been elected President of the Korean Olympic Committee for a four-year mandate. 10 February 2009 Greece New President of the NOC The General Assembly of the Hellenic Olympic Committee held on February 10, 2009, elected Spyros Capralos as President of the NOC for the period February 2009 February 2013. 04 February 2009 Andorra Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC Jaume Martí Mandicó and Manuel Fernández Hermoso were re-elected respectively President and Secretary General of the Olympic Committee of Andorra at the General Assembly of the NOC held on February 4th, 2009. 31 January 2009 Kenya New President and new Secretary General of the NOC The Elective General Assembly of the Uganda Olympic Committee, held on January 31, 2009, elected Roger Hanns Kiyonga Ddungu as President of the NOC and Ms Peninnah Kabenge as Secretary General. 16 January 2009 Mexico Re-election of the President and Secretary General of the NOC Felipe Muñoz Kapamas and Ricardo Contreras Hernández were re-elected respectively President and Secretary General of the Mexican Olympic Committee. Mr Muñoz is otherwise ANOC Executive Council member for America, member of the IOC Olympic Solidarity Commission, and PASO Secretary General. Mr Contreras is a member of the ANOC Juridical Commission and ANOC's Representative on the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS). 14 January 2009 Czech Republic Reelection of the President and confirmation of the Secretary General of the NOC The General Assembly of the Czech Olympic Committee held on January 14, 2009 reelected Milan Jirásek as President of the NOC for the 2009-2012 and confirmed Peter Hrubec in his functions as Secretary General.
